“Wide Open” Golf Tournament
Typically in the Spring Season--TBA
This two –man scramble has served as the “primary” fundraiser for the
Chamber since 2007. Participants play on one of Snyder’s quaint West
Texas style 9-hole course. The event includes golf related raffles, door
prizes (donated by local and regional businesses), and goodie bags.
Special prizes are awarded for long drive, closest put, hole-in-one.
The registration fee covers cart rentals, meals, and drinks.
Participants must be 21 and older to play. Cash prizes are awarded.
Past raffle prizes include a driver and putter set, roaster oven, and
home décor.
West Texas Western Swing
Festival
Typically Tuesday through Saturday of the second week in June.
No one does Western Swing like Snyder does!
We’ve been “swingin” at the Coliseum since
1996. We invite you to come join us for
four days of tradition at this festival,
where we literally dance for eight hours a
day! The festival features twelve different
entertainers, and activities start each day
from noon till 11:00 p.m. Past performers
include Wild River Band, Bobby Flores,
Playboys II, and a Snyder Favorite—Asleep at

Fourth of July Celebration
You can’t find a better Fourth of July
Celebration than here in Snyder! This
two-day celebration features plenty of
family fun for everyone. Events are held at
Towle Park and include vendors, food and
retail, the “Pride of Texas” carnival rides,
bike show, tractor pull, live music,
fireworks, and of course the community
“Celebration Parade” which is one the
largest parades held in the area! So come
join us in celebrating our independence in
Snyder, Texas!

Buffalo Weekend
First Friday and Saturday in October
The “White Buffalo Weekend Celebration” is a collaboration of two
events, both sponsored by the Snyder Chamber of Commerce, that offer
activities for locals and visitors to enjoy! If you’re coming on
two-wheels or four, there is certain to be something for everyone…..
“The White Buffalo Bikefest,” is held each year at The Coliseum, and was
voted the #6 Rally by Ride Texas Magazine in 2007. The event attracts
six to eight thousand motorcycle enthusiasts each year, which feature a
number of activities: live music, motorcycle stunt teams and freestyle
shows, bike rodeos, poker runs, and bike show, vendors, and dealers.
Past entertainment acts include “Joe Ely,” “American Motordrome,” “Molly
Hatchet,” and the “Crazy Texan Stunt Team.” For more information about

White Buffalo Days Celebration
“White Buffalo Days Celebration” which is a
FREE downtown event, and was established
over twenty years ago to honor our farming
and ranching heritage. The event features a
number of activities that include historical
re-enactments, theatrical plays, live music,
and shopping!! White Buffalo Days is also
the host of the “White Buffalo Stampede, 5K
run” that is a regional draw for runners.
An addition to this traditional event there will be a FREE concert and lighted bike
parade to kick-off the weekend activities.
Trick or Treat Around the Square
Candy, candy,
and more candy! Celebrate Halloween Snyder style! Come join the hundreds of
elementary students in downtown for a fun and safe afternoon of trick or
treating. All children must be accompanied by parents or guardian. All candy
for the event is sponsored by the downtown businesses, in collaboration with
event hosts, Snyder Chamber of Commerce. It’s a “spooky” good time…..

Christmas Around the Square & Lighted Parade
First Saturday in December
Come see our
beautiful down area illuminated by lights and filled with the Christmas spirit!
Let the kiddos have fun on the “kiddie” train rides and pose for photos with
Santa. Stop for some warm food at one of the many vendors downtown and watch
area businesses and organizations compete for top prize in the “lighted” float
contest.
